“Violent videogames are not dangerous” – British Parliament
A spokesperson for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in the United Kingdom has stated that violent videogames are not dangerous.
“It is important to note that there is no conclusive evidence of any link between playing computer games and violent behaviour in real life. Our concern is to make sure that inappropriate material is kept away from children”
This statement came to light after the recent ruling that Manhunt 2 will be allowed a UK retail release.
