Introducing The Akayuki Archives

Alexis avatar Alexis / 31st August 2018 /

Good news everyone, the Akayuki Archives are now live! In case you didn’t read our announcement on Twitter last month, this is basically a restoration project for our previous gaming website, Akayuki(.com/net). Read more about it below.

Akayuki was an independent and non-biased video game blog operated by ManaJournal staff way back in 2007-2009. Its goal was to keep readers updated on a wide range of gaming related topics by delivering news, rumors, and media as quickly as possible. Here at ManaJournal we have decided to preserve the legacy of Akayuki by restoring and compiling old articles in our archive. Everything we publish has been approved by @Zhaan, former webmaster at Akayuki.

Akayuki authors

We would like to thank the following staff members for their contributions to the now-defunct website:

Nemo – Former Editor at Akayuki
Duane Weatherall – Former Editor at Akayuki
Jak Cadden – Former Editor at Akayuki
Sexyback / Soul – Former Contributor at Akayuki and webmaster at Forever-Fantasy.net
Shiron – Former Contributor at Akayuki
Suzaku – Former Contributor at Akayuki
trevscofield – Former Contributor at Akayuki
Squall – Former webmaster at FFWorldwide.com

For privacy reasons we will not offer a way to contact former Akayuki staff members, but if you have any questions related to the website or its content you can send an email to akayuki@manajournal.com.

So far we’ve restored 551 articles, but we’re not stopping there. Keep an eye out for more old content in the near future.

FFWorldwide

As a bonus we’ve included a handful of articles from FFWorldwide.com, an even older website (run by @Zhaan) dedicated to the Final Fantasy series. These articles will be marked with the #FFWorldwide tag.

Enjoy!
