Death Stranding was a strange, unique experience. I don’t normally play Kojima games as they’re not my cup of tea, but Death Stranding clicked me almost immediately, in a way Metal Gear Solid never did. It was a delightful blend of horror, beauty and goofiness that simply worked. I enjoyed the intentionally clunky gameplay loop of balancing heavy cargo and shooting things, even though it often frustrated me. To say that I am hyped for its sequel would be an understatement.
I realize we’re late to the party with this announcement, but the site has been on hiatus so I felt like posting it anyway. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is officially out next month, on June 26th for the Sony PlayStation 5. To celebrate this announcement, Kojima Productions has released an impressive ten minute long trailer, which also showcases some of the bonuses you get from pre-ordering the game (plus a collector’s edition).
