PlayStation Boss On Future Of Portable Gaming

New chief of Sony Interactive Entertainment John Kodera recently shared his thoughts on the future of PlayStation, and commented on the possibility of more portable gaming systems in the future. Kodera stated that rather than separating portable gaming from consoles, it is important to consider it as one method to deliver more gaming experiences to customers.

“In my opinion, rather than separating portable gaming from consoles, it’s necessary to continue thinking of [portable gaming] as one method to deliver more gaming experiences and exploring what our customers want from portable,” Kodera said during an interview with Bloomberg. “We want to think about many options.”

His views differ from those of his predecessor Andrew House, who believed portable gaming to have limited appeal globally.
