Honestly, I feel like that Nintendo 3DS remake of Dragon Quest VII just came out a few years ago, but here we are again with yet another edition. To be fair, enough time has passed since 2016, but it’s perhaps a bit too soon for me. Maybe I’m getting old. Regardless, this new “reimagined” version for modern platforms looks to be a significant upgrade in every way.
Last night, Square Enix released the opening cinematic for the game. They also announced that a playable demo will be available tomorrow, on January 7th. Any progress you make in this demo will carry over to the full game with a save transfer, and you’ll receive “Maribel’s Day Off Dress” as a reward for doing so. I would guess that is some kind of outfit for a character.
The full game is set to release on February 5th this year for the Nintendo Switch 1 & 2, PS5, Xbox Series and PC. Watch the opening movie below!
