Sony Removes 1000 Shovelware Games From The PlayStation Store

Sony

At long last, Sony has decided to cull a bunch of worthless shovelware from its PlayStation Store. Specifically, they have removed the entire catalogue of a German developer called ThiGames (I’m being generous with the word “developer” here). Shockingly, this catalogue consisted of a staggering 1000 titles, all of which were low-quality games with extremely basic gameplay that could only be considered rubbish.

Games like these are essentially “trophy filler” titles, as I like to call them. The only thing you would gain from playing these games is a bucketload of platinum trophies, and it would require little to no effort to do so. I’m glad Sony has decided to address this issue, and I might be getting my hopes up here, but I truly hope they continue to clean up their store. There’s plenty more shovelware to get rid of, especially when it comes to AI-made titles.
